Philippe Bober’s long-lasting collaborations with filmmakers Lars von Trier, Roy Andersson, Ulrich Seidl, Ruben Östlund and Jessica Hausner have enhanced the company with the 2017 Cannes Palme d’Or and the 2014 Venice Golden Lion, amongst other awards.

Coproduction Office is based in Paris and Berlin, and is looking for a future finance intern to complete our team of seven people. We are looking for a globally-minded and lateral-thinking colleague, who has organisational skills, a good memory, an interest in corporate finance and an interest in art-house cinema. You will assist our CFO, Riccardo Molteni, with financial tasks related to our films, our company and our development projects.

JOB OUTLINE:

You will work with our CFO and producers on:
Corporate Finance:

  • Researching funds (investors, credit lines, banks)
  • Managing films and company cashflow
  • Updating monitoring tools
  • Managing royalties (analysis of distributors’ reports)

Production, Reporting and Cost accounting

  • Preparing film financing applications (French and European film and cinema funds)
  • Allocating costs to projects
  • Preparing cost reports for grants and producers
  • Coordinating French and German accounting
  • Working on budgets and reporting

YOU ARE:

  • A native or fully-fluent French speaker with an excellent command of English and German
  • Proficient with Excel (budgets, cash-flows…)
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry (a plus) and interest in financial topics
  • Precise, accountable and motivated, with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Flexible with a proactive skill set
  • Capable of interacting with professionals in different sectors: film industry, public sector, finance and accounting.
  • Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces

YOU WILL:

  • Work in an international and multi-lingual environment, in a friendly and motivational atmosphere with engaged colleagues who bring commitment and camaraderie to their work
  • Obtain valuable experience from working with our CFO as well as with our founder Philippe Bober on unique films

This experience will provide you with good baseline knowledge of the management of a film sector company. You will be able to follow-up funds, financiers, projects and clients, with an in-depth view of how the sector and a film-sector company work, and an oversight on all aspects of the company (management, production and sales).

The company currently has five films in post-production and is strongly involved in finalizing the editing of each of the films together with their respective directors: Jessica Hausner, Roy Andersson, Thomas Clay, Gust Van Den Berghe and Heinrich Sabl. Coproduction Office is looking for a Film Editor Intern to complete our team of seven people. We are looking for a globally-minded and lateral-thinking colleague, who has organisational skills, a good memory and an interest in art-house cinema. You will assist our Consultant Editor, Benjamin Mirguet and the Producer Philippe Bober with the planning of numerous test screenings and the preparation of editing memos.

JOB OUTLINE:

You will work on the following tasks:

  • Planning and coordinating test screenings
  • Communicating with the post-production team of each film
  • Preparing the transcription of the discussions of the test screenings
  • Looking for a prospective test screening audience
  • Improving and updating the test screening audience database
  • Occasionally assisting our consultant editor with editing
  • Occasionally editing with the director and editor of the film

YOU ARE:

  • A native or fully-fluent English speaker with an excellent command of a second language (German, or Swedish is a plus)
  • Proficient with FCP7, AVID, Premiere, After Effects
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve would be a plus
  • Equipped with your own editing equipment, preferably Apple
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry
  • A perfectionist with attention to detail, and able to meet deadlines
  • Flexible with a proactive skill set
  • Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces

YOU WILL:

  • Gain valuable experience about editing while following the evolution of the editing process of five films by major directors, and see the editing’s impact on the audience

Coproduction Office is looking for an intern in graphic design to collaborate with experienced graphic designer on the marketing (posters, pressbook etc.) of our films in post-production.

Coproduction Office is based in Paris and Berlin, and is looking for a sales and/or marketing intern to complete our team of seven people. We are looking for a globally-minded and lateral-thinking colleague, who has organizational skills, a good memory and an interest in art-house cinema. You will assist our Head of Sales, Sophie Cabon with the preparation of international festivals and markets.

JOB OUTLINE

You will assist our Head of sales and occasionally our managing director Philippe Bober with some (and not all) of the following tasks:

  • Planning the marketing before each international market
  • Ensuring communication with the graphic designers, the decision makers and the printers
  • Creating textual elements and occasionally visuals (using InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Scheduling meetings for international Markets and festivals
  • Following up with international distributors
  • Searching for prospective customers, market studies
  • Improving and updating the client and deal database
  • Occasionally assisting our managing director during festivals and markets (including personal assistance)

YOU ARE:

  • A native or fully-fluent English-speaker with an excellent command of a second language (German, or Chinese is a plus)
