JOB OUTLINE:

You will work in Coproduction Office’s finance department in interaction with other departments (sales, production, festivals, marketing, deliverables) and participate to the following tasks:

  • Providing support in day-to-day finance administration to ensure smooth departmental operations.

  • Conducting pre-accounting tasks, verifying external accounting entries to align with the company's sales and production activities, with a particular emphasis on topics such as: film collection agencies and production credits.

  • Implementing a payment control procedure, streamlining non-bank transfer expenses among colleagues, retrieving invoices and receipts, thereby minimizing information loss.

  • Maintaining up-to-date monitoring charts, including payables and receivables tracking, to facilitate effective financial oversight.

  • Assisting in applications for banks, credit institutions and public funds operating in the film sector and their financial deliverables.

  • Preparing detailed film costs reports for right holders and public funds.

You will:

JOB OUTLINE:

As a Sales Intern, you will support the team with tasks including:

  • Assist our sales executives with the market preparation and during markets (scheduling meetings, researching distributors, preparing documents and presentations on our films, assisting on the logistics, etc.).

  • Follow up with international distributors after the markets (preparing information on films, screeners, and others).

  • Search for prospective partners (market studies); improve and update the clients and sales database and contacts list.

  • Assist the sales team in the negotiation for film sales, for example by reflecting on selling points and gathering information on a film.

  • Assist with the redaction of contracts and other administrative tasks (notarization process, registration of contracts, etc.)

  • Follow up with our international distributors to track the films’ releases (release dates, admission numbers, marketing elements).

  • Support the management of MEDIA Creative Europe funding, both internally and in collaboration with our European distributors (application and reporting).

  • Keep track of expiring contracts and get in touch with distributors to negotiate renewals.

  • Assist the sales team in the preparation of sales strategies (reflect on pitching and ideas for retrospectives and collections).

JOB OUTLINE

You will assist our producers and our CFO throughout the entire lifecycle of a film — from early development to financing, production, post-production, festival premieres, and international distribution via our in-house sales branch — on our current projects by Ruben Östlund, Ulrich Seidl, Jessica Hausner, and Susanne Heinrich.

You will:

Main responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the drafting, proofreading, and management of contracts (co-production agreements, financing contracts, cast and crew agreements, etc.)

• Preparing and updating recoupment schedules and waterfall models
• Assisting in the creation and monitoring of financing plans, cashflows, and deliverables
• Coordinating funding applications and liaising with public funds, banks, financiers, co-producers and clients
• Performing relevant research (e.g. legal frameworks, co-production treaties, prospective partners)
• Assisting with budgeting and cost reporting alongside our CFO and executive producers

You are:

Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine, also importing Italian “vin d’auteur” to Germany. Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of the companies and has produced over forty films to date with the majority of these having been selected to screen in Competition in Cannes, Venice or Berlin. They received major prizes, most notably the Venice Golden Lion for Roy Andersson’s A PIGEON SAT ON A BRANCH REFLECTING ON EXISTENCE in 2014 and two Palme d’Ors for Ruben Östlund’s THE SQUARE in 2017 and TRIANGLE OF SADNESS in 2022. Coproduction Office is connecting its know-how in these fields in cultural spaces combining a two-screen arthouse cinema, an art gallery, ambitious restaurants and a wine bar, located in Berlin’s city center in iconic listed buildings.

We are looking for a globally minded and result-oriented colleague, with organisational skills and an avid interest in culture, to complete our team of thirty people working in a dynamic and international environment. Starting as an intern, with the potential of a full-time position, you will assist our team and our founder Philippe Bober.

The working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is required, further languages are beneficial, in particular French and Italian.


You Are:
Cosmopolitan, proactive, problem-solving, lateral thinking, culture, film- and/or wine-loving, and have a positive working attitude and an eye for details. Organisational and analytical skills are appreciated, as well as precision regarding timelines, grammar, numbers, and spreadsheets. Your background can be either in wine, food, architecture, civil engineering, cinema, the film industry, art, real estate development, business administration, computer sciences, finance or marketing.

You may undertake and be responsible for one or several of the following duties:

  • Communicating directly with external project coordinators, architects, construction managers, specialist planners and others

  • Contributing to developing the concept of the art space

  • Coordinating financing applications, following-up with funds, financiers, projects and clients.
