JOB OUTLINE

As a Sales Intern, you will support the team with tasks including:

  • Assist our sales executives with the market preparation and during markets (scheduling meetings, researching distributors, preparing documents and presentations on our films, assisting on the logistics, etc.).

  • Follow up with international distributors after the markets (preparing information on films, screeners, and others).

  • Search for prospective partners (market studies); improve and update the clients and sales database and contacts list.

  • Assist the sales team in the negotiation for film sales, for example by reflecting on selling points and gathering information on a film.

  • Assist with the redaction of contracts and other administrative tasks (notarization process, registration of contracts, etc.)

  • Follow up with our international distributors to track the films’ releases (release dates, admission numbers, marketing elements).

  • Support the management of MEDIA Creative Europe funding, both internally and in collaboration with our European distributors (application and reporting).

  • Keep track of expiring contracts and get in touch with distributors to negotiate renewals.

  • Assist the sales team in the preparation of sales strategies (reflect on pitching and ideas for retrospectives and collections).

You will:

  • Gain oversight on various aspects of the company, including finance and production

  • Work in a multilingual, friendly, and motivational environment

  • Obtain valuable experience working on unique award-winning films with the production, post-production, finance and/or marketing team, as well as with the founder Philippe Bober

You are:

  • A native or fully fluent English-speaker with excellent command of French and/or German. Other languages are a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused

  • Precise, Proficient with Excel and databases.

  • A cinephile with a strong interest in film distribution and marketing.

  • Able to think outside the boxes.

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry.

  • Flexible and proactive

JOB OUTLINE

As a Production Intern, you will assist our producers and our CFO throughout the entire lifecycle of a film — from early development to financing, production, post-production, festival premieres, and international distribution via our in-house sales branch - on our current projects by Ruben Östlund, Ulrich Seidl, Jessica Hausner, and Susanne Heinrich. You will support the team with tasks including (according to abilities) :

  • Finance: Researching funds, investors, VC, and credit lines. Assisting in the creation and monitoring of financing plans, cashflows, preparing and updating recoupment schedules and waterfall models. Assisting with budgeting and cost reporting alongside our CFO and executive producers

  • Funding: Preparing funding applications (German, French and European film and cinema funds). Copywriting presentation texts for funding or press books. Liaising with public funds, banks, financiers, co-producers and clients. Performing relevant research (e.g. legal frameworks, co-production treaties, prospective partners)

  • Legal: Assisting in the drafting, proofreading, and management of contracts (co-production agreements, financing contracts, cast and crew agreements, etc.) Legal and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual and funding obligations

  • Creative: Conducting specific research related to individual film projects. Participating in test screenings and helping shape early marketing strategies. Memo copywriting after test screenings or development meetings

You will:

  • Work in an international and multilingual environment with a friendly and motivational atmosphere, alongside committed and team-oriented colleagues

  • Gain insight into the independent film industry while working on unique and artistically ambitious films

  • Obtain valuable experience working on unique award-winning films with the production, post-production, finance and/or marketing team, as well as with the founder Philippe Bober

You are:

  • Native speaker or fully fluent in at least two of our three working languages: English, French, or German (both written and spoken)

  • Precise, accountable and motivated, with a strong attention to detail and respect for deadlines

  • Experienced in the film industry and/or have a strong academic or professional background in law, finance, business affairs or a related field

  • Capable of interacting with professionals across different sectors: film industry, public funding institutions, finance and legal fields

  • Flexible, solutions-oriented, and proactive

  • Proficient in Excel, comfortable working with numbers, and interested in finance and accounting (any legal training is a strong asset)

  • Tech-savvy and experienced with cloud-based tools and virtual workspaces

As a Classics Intern, you will support the team with tasks including:

  • Research right-holders of classic films for our international sales

  • Prepare financing applications for the acquisition and restoration of films

  • Prepare funding applications for the MEDIA strand of the European Commission

  • Schedule meetings for international Markets and festivals (Lumière, Cannes, Bologna, etc.)

  • Plan and coordinate acquisition screenings for classic and recent films

  • Prepare memos and keep track of all research and discussions in our database

  • Prepare a Classics newsletter

  • Research the source materials available for the restorations of our catalogue titles

  • Help assessing the status of our catalogue titles, to help prioritise restorations

  • Researching possible collaborations with labs, helping with creating costs overviews

You will:

  • Gain oversight on various aspects of the company, including finance and production

You are:

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the history of cinema

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry (a plus)

  • Interested in the technical aspects of films. A previous experience in film restoration or material deliveries would be a plus

  • Attention to detail and meeting deadlines

  • Organized and capable to prioritize

  • Precise, Proficient with Excel and database

  • Capable of interacting with professionals in different sectors: film industry, public sector, finance.
