JOB OUTLINE:

You will work in Coproduction Office’s sales department in interaction with other departments (production, finance, festivals, marketing, deliverables) and participate to the following tasks:

  • Royalties management
  • Applications for funding for film sales agents (Media Creative Europe, CNC)
  • Applications and reporting for banks and credit institutions active in the films sector
  • Databases updates
  • Market research
  • Participation to marketing brainstorming during the marketing’s creation process
  • Participation to test screenings of our films during post-production
  • Budgeting and reporting for the films’ sales and marketing

JOB OUTLINE

Coproduction Office is actively involved in post-production processes of the films it produces and in particular in the editing process together with their respective directors. Currently three films are in post-production: Ulrich Seidl’s, Michelangelo Frammartino’s, and Ruben Östlund’s.

You will work on the following tasks:

  • Planning and coordinating test screenings
  • Communicating with the post-production team of each film
  • Preparing the transcription of the discussions of the test screenings
  • Looking for a prospective test screening audience
  • Improving and updating the test screening audience database
  • Working alongside the marketing team which includes the editing of trailers.
  • Occasionally assisting our consultant editor with editing
  • Occasionally editing with the director and editor of the film

YOU ARE

  • A native or fully fluent English speaker with an excellent command of a second language (German, or Swedish is a plus)
  • A cinephile with an interest in films analysis and an ability to formalize ideas
  • Able to deal with stress and prioritization
  • Proficient with AVID, Premiere, After Effects
  • Computer savvy and proficient in virtual workspaces, particularly with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve would be a plus
  • Equipped with your own editing equipment, preferably Apple

Coproduction Office is an international label that produces and sells bold and award-winning films. Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine. Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of both companies and has to date produced thirty-two films by ground-breaking directors. The 2017 Palme d’Or for Ruben Östlund’s THE SQUARE or Roy Andersson’s 2014 Venice Golden Lion are among the important international prizes won by those films.

Coproduction Office is now connecting its know-how in both fields in a unique project: a premium cultural space combining a four-screen arthouse cinema, an exhibition venue, ambitious restaurants and a wine bar, located in Berlin’s city centre in an iconic listed building. We are looking for a future colleague starting as an intern, with the potential of a full-time position as a proactive coordinator for this pioneering interdisciplinary project. The working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is required, further languages are beneficial, in particular French or Italian.

You Are:

Cosmopolitan, lateral thinking, film- and/or wine-loving, and have a positive working attitude. Organisational skills are of importance, as well as precision regarding timelines, grammar, numbers and spreadsheets. Your background can be either in wine, food, cinema, the film industry, real estate development or marketing. Experience in one of these fields, especially in a team leader position, is an advantage.

You will undertake and be responsible for the following duties:

- Coordination of financing applications, follow-up with funds, financiers, projects and clients.

- Preparing a marketing plan and materials.

- General assistance

- Researching new suppliers and communicating with existing ones.

- Compiling documents, in particular spreadsheets and presentations.

- Coordinating tasks and deadlines.

- Organizing media relations and support for the project.

We are looking for a high performing Business Process Manager who has experience designing, implementing and managing a Business Process Management System that will continually improve operational efficiency. You’ll review business processes in a cross functional role across all departments.

Reporting directly to the executive team, you will report on KPI’s and relevant metrics. You’ll be a key influencer, promoting a culture of process improvement, possessing strong leadership qualities and able to work autonoumously.

You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s IT and computing needs. You will work directly with our team of ten people, and with our founder Philippe Bober on the following tasks:

  • Define, Design and Optimize processes across the organisation in order to facilitate accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Scale the business through standardization.
  • Train employees, handle systems administration and collaborate with IT partners in case of need for technical support.

We are looking for a future colleague starting as a film production intern to complete our team of twenty people, with the possibility for the internship to later develop into a position as a project coordinator and/or junior producer at Coproduction Office.

You are globally minded, have organizational skills, have an interest in art-house cinema, and have an excellent command of both French and German languages. You will work in a dynamic and international environment and will be performing financial and coordination tasks together with our producer Marina Perales (Paris), our CFO Riccardo Molteni (Paris) and our founder Philippe Bober (Berlin and Paris). Our current projects and productions are the upcoming films by Jessica Hausner, Susanne Heinrich, Ruben Östlund and Ulrich Seidl. These films are at different stages of realisation, from the early development stage, to financing, production, post-production, festival premiere or distribution via our sales branch. You will thus be able to assist our producers and our CFO over the entire creation process of a film. You will also get an insight into the film financing of these films in the countries where the company is active, France, Germany, UK and Denmark, which will provide you with good foundational knowledge of the process of financing and producing art-house cinema in Europe.

You will assist our producers and our CFO over the entire creation process of a film (from the earliest development stage, to financing, production, post-production, festival premiere and the distribution via our sales branch) on our current projects and productions by Ruben Östlund, Ulrich Seidl, Jessica Hausner, and Susanne Heinrich.

• Researching for prospective finance, casting, coproducers...

• Collaborating in the creation of both content and visual presentations for funding applications.

You will work in collaboration with our CEO, COO and sales team and be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Create marketing campaigns for our films in collaboration with our COO and CEO
  • Coordinate with creative partners (editors, graphic designers, marketing agencies, copywriters, publicists) for the development of marketing assets for the films as well as the cinema and gastronomy projec
  • Be the point of contact with our web developer to ensure the smooth running of our websites
  • Assist our sales executives during markets (creation of newsletters etc.)

We are looking for a future part-time (1-3 days per week) accountant for five companies under German law: two companies active in film production for over 25 years, one company active since 2018 in gastronomy, one company active since 2018 in real estate management and real estate development, and one company that, in the next years, will manage the cinema exploitation business. The position can also be full time and include office management and/or IT management and/or IT process management. Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of these companies and has to date produced thirty-two films by ground-breaking directors. What awaits you in your new accountant job:
- You are responsible for expanding the accounting team and taking the accounting of the German companies our international group to the next level
- You take care of the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- You will take on day-to-day financial, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting tasks
- You control the internal processing and release process as well as the account assignment of incoming and outgoing invoices

You will assist our founder Philippe Bober and the company CFO Riccardo Molteni with the development of our activities (cinematography, gastronomy and real estate) with:

  • Interact with all the departments of Coproduction Office and facilitate the administrative processes

JOB OUTLINE

Coproduction Office is actively involved in post-production processes of the films it produces and in particular in the editing process together with their respective directors. Currently three films are in post-production, including Jessica Hausner’s upcoming film.

You will work on the following tasks:

  • Planning and coordinating test screenings

  • Communicating with the post-production team of each film

  • Preparing the transcription of the discussions of the test screenings

  • Looking for a prospective test screening audience

  • Improving and updating the test screening audience database

  • Working alongside the marketing team which includes the editing of trailers.

  • Occasionally assisting our editor with editing

  • Occasionally editing with the director and editor of the film

YOU ARE

  • A native or fully fluent English speaker with an excellent command of a second language (German is a plus)

  • A cinephile with an interest in films analysis and an ability to formalize ideas

  • Able to deal with stress and prioritization

  • Proficient with AVID, Premiere, After Effects

  • Computer savvy and proficient in virtual workspaces, particularly with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.

You will work on with our COO and our Festival and Acquisition coordinator, on the following tasks:

Acquisition:

  • Research right-holders of classic films for our international sales.

  • Prepare financing applications for the acquisition and restoration of films.

  • Schedule meetings for international Markets and festivals (Cannes, Bologna, Lumière etc.).

  • Plan and coordinate acquisition screenings for classic and recent films.

Festivals and Materials:

  • Conduct research on festivals.

  • Submit our films to festivals.

  • Be involved in the festivals strategy.

  • Negotiate screenings fees.

  • Provide Materials to festivals (all films) and to distributors (catalogue films).

  • Help with talent coordination (promotional tours, press).

Coproduction Office is an international label that produces and sells bold and award-winning films. Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine, also importing Italian “vin d’auteur” to Germany. Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of both companies and has produced forty films to date with twelve of these having been selected to screen in Competition in Cannes, winning two Golden Palms: TRIANGLE OF SADNESS (2022) and THE SQUARE (2017) both by Ruben Östlund.

We are now connecting our know-how in both fields in a unique project: a premium cultural space combining a three-screen arthouse cinema, an exhibition venue, ambitious restaurants, and a wine bar. Located in Berlin’s city center in an iconic listed building. It is set to open its doors to the public in 2025-2026.

We are looking for a Finance Manager (job creation) to join our Berlin team and to support the growth of Coproduction Office’s activities in Germany. The working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is required, further languages are beneficial.

RESPONSABILITIES:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND FUNDRAISING:

  • Ensure the company is properly funded: manage the fundraising processes with the CEO, investigate new sources of financing.
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  • Update the business plan for the development of the company activities in Germany.

FINANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage the Berlin-based companies’ (gastronomy, cultural space project) treasury planning; be in direct contacts with the providers, negotiate payment schedule.
  • Communicate with our German bank, request short-term and long-term credits.
  • Lead the financial reporting and analyze the financial performance of the company.
  • Manage two accountants in Berlin.
  • Closely collaborate with our external accountancy firm in Germany (and France when required) and oversee the closing of the balance sheets.
  • Closely collaborate with our finance team in Paris, and particularly, with our colleague in charge of the treasury planning for the production and sales activities of the companies.
  • Help optimize/automate finance activities, operations, systems, and processes.
  • Accurately prepare and fill state and state/government tax documents.

JOB OUTLINE

You will assist our sales and marketing team with some of the following tasks:

Sales:

  • Assist our sales executives with the market preparation and during markets (scheduling meetings, researching distributors, preparing documents and presentations on our films, assisting on the logistics, etc.).
  • Follow up with international distributors after the markets (preparing information on films, screeners, and others).
  • Search for prospective partners (market studies); improve and update the clients and sales database and contacts list.
  • Assist the sales team in the negotiation for film sales, for example by reflecting on selling points and gathering information on a film.
  • Assist with the redaction of contracts and other administrative tasks (notarization process, registration of contracts, etc.)
  • Follow up with our international distributors to track the films’ releases (release dates, admission numbers, marketing elements).

JOB OUTLINE

Coproduction Office, alongside the respective directors, is actively involved in the post-production process of the films it produces, including in the editing process. Currently four films are in post-production.

You will work on the following tasks:

  • Planning and coordinating test screenings
  • Communicating with the post-production team of each film
  • Preparing transcripts of the discussions concerning the test screenings
  • Looking for prospective test screening audiences
  • Improving and updating the test screening audience database
  • Assisting with the creation of VOD film screeners
  • Creating and/or reviewing subtitles, and assisting with the creation and editing of Dialogue Lists if needed
  • Working alongside the marketing team which includes editing of trailers and excerpts (press clips etc.)
  • Occasionally assisting our editor with editing
  • Occasionally editing with the director and editor of the film

YOU ARE

  • A native or fully fluent English speaker with an excellent command of German and/or French. A third language is a plus (Italian, Chinese or Russian in particular).
  • A cinephile with an interest in film analysis and an ability to formalize ideas.
  • Able to deal with stress and prioritize.
  • Proficient with AVID, Premiere, After Effects.
  • Computer savvy and proficient in virtual workspaces, particularly in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve is a plus.

JOB OUTLINE:

You will work in Coproduction Office’s finance and sales department in interaction with other departments (production, festivals, marketing, deliverables) and will assist our head of departments on some following in the tasks (depending on the period of the year):

Finance

  • Establishing the films’ sales and marketing budget: at the occasion of the premier of the films in festivals and in the context of funding applications (Creative Europe, CNC, European Film promotion).
  • Managing Royalties reports (contacting distributors after the release of the films and analyzing the provided reports).
  • Evaluating the performance of the distributors on our films across territories.
  • Analyzing the evolution of films revenues across various platforms and territories (with a specific focus on the evolution of digital revenues) and presenting the results to the sales team.

Managing MEDIA Creative Europe funding, both internally and in collaboration with our European distributors (grant cash-flow, communication with the distributors, cost report analysis etc.).

Requesting funding to banks and credit institutions active in the film sector.

Processing incoming and outgoing invoices/Call for funds and their payments and allocation to corresponding projects, with a focus on monitoring bank transactions in the context of international film co-production (transfers of funds etc.).

  • Updating performance and operation monitoring tables and improving their accuracy and efficiency.
  • Preparing costs reports for producers, banks, and publics funds according to different reporting requirements.
  • Being the point of contact across departments and with external accountants
  • Working on market research.

Legal and Administration

Drafting and negotiating film sales contracts with international distributors.

Resolving legal conflicts related to film rights, and secondary rights.

Carrying administrative tasks, such as the notarization process for Chinese contracts, registration of contracts, verifications of Chain of Rights, clearance of double taxation and more.

Collaborating with the production and sales teams to prepare and gather legal documentation required for film legal deliveries.

YOU ARE:

Fluent in English, French and/or German speaker (applicants are required to speak at least two of the languages, a third one is a plus).

Coproduction Office is an international label that produces and sells bold and award-winning films. Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine, also importing Italian “vin d’auteur” to Germany. Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of the companies and has produced forty films to date with twelve of these having been selected to screen in Competition in Cannes, winning two Golden Palms: TRIANGLE OF SADNESS (2022) and THE SQUARE (2017) both by Ruben Östlund. Philippe also produces video installations (WOMEN WITHOUT MEN by Shirin Neshat, ALBERI by Michelangelo Frammartino) and works with visual artists Zapruder and Michelangelo Frammartino.

Coproduction Office is now connecting its know-how in these fields in a unique project: a premium cultural space combining a three-screen arthouse cinema, an art gallery and multifunctional exhibition venue, ambitious restaurants and a wine bar. Located in Berlin’s city center in an iconic listed building, it is to open its doors to the public in 2025.

We are looking for a future colleague starting as an intern, with the potential of a full-time position as a proactive coordinator for this pioneering interdisciplinary project. The working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is required, further languages are beneficial, in particular French and Italian.

You Are:
Cosmopolitan, pro-active, problem-solving, lateral thinking, culture, film- and/or wine-loving, and have a positive working attitude and an eye for details. Organisational and analytical skills are appreciated, as well as precision regarding timelines, grammar, numbers and spreadsheets. Your background can be either in wine, food, architecture, civil engineering, cinema, the film industry, art, real estate development, business administration, computer sciences or marketing.

You may undertake and be responsible for one or several of the following duties:

  • Communicating directly with external project coordinators, architects, construction managers, specialist planners and others

  • Coordinating financing applications, following-up with funds, financiers, projects and clients.

  • Coordinating tasks and deadlines, meetings with consultants and stakeholders

  • Researching new suppliers and communicating with existing ones

  • Analyzing processes and making suggestions on how to optimise them

  • Contributing to building up Briefmarken Weine’s brand, team and management

  • Preparing a marketing plan and materials

  • Assisting with wine import and attendance of wine fairs

  • Assisting with the preparation of art fairs

  • Liaising with artists regarding physical production, printing, openings

  • Assisting with the organization of events and pop exhibitions

  • Contributing to developing the art space

  • Compiling documents, in particular spreadsheets and presentations

  • Organizing media relations

The internship is full time, remunerated with 1000 - 1200€ brutto / month (est. netto 950 € / month) and can lead to further employment.

Aufgaben

Was Sie erwartet:

  • Führen der Hauptbuchhaltung (Erfahrung im Umgang mit Sesam von Vorteil)

  • Sie kümmern sich um die Erstellung von Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüssen

Job Outline:

As the Personal Assistant to one of our Film Directors, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our director's busy schedule and creative projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

JOB OUTLINE:

You will:

Editing

  • Help manage our Editing facilities.

  • Work alongside the marketing team to create trailers and excerpts (press clips, film stills, etc.) of the films.

  • Plan and coordinate test screenings.

  • Look for prospective test screening audiences; Improve and update the test screening audience database.

  • Prepare transcripts of the discussions following test screenings.

Post-Production

  • Communicate with the post-production team of each film and take delivery of the final film elements.

  • Assist with the creation of VOD film screeners.

  • Deliver film elements to the distributors for catalogue films, help improve the film material (research existing elements, support the restoration process).

  • Create and/or review subtitles and assist with the creation of Dialogue Lists if needed.

You are:

  • A native or fully fluent English speaker with an excellent command of German and/or French. A third language is a plus (Italian, Chinese, Korean or Russian in particular).

  • A cinephile with an interest in film analysis and an ability to formalize ideas.

  • Capable of synthesizing ideas in written form.

  • Flexible to work outside regular business hours and apt to deal with tight deadlines and stress.

  • Apt to self-manage, prioritise, and accomplish different tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient with AVID, Premiere, and After Effect; Experience with DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro is a plus.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in the film industry (previous experiences in film post-production processes is a plus), as well as interest in how a film sales company functions.

  • A team player apt to collaborate in a fast-paced and dynamic workspace with a proactive approach towards processes.

JOB OUTLINE:

You will:

  • work in an international and multilingual environment with a friendly and motivational atmosphere, alongside committed and team-oriented colleagues.

  • gain insight on the independent film industry while working on unique films.

  • perform the following tasks as a member of our Production team:
    • Researching funds, investors, and credit lines

    • Conducting specific research related to individual film projects

    • Assisting with film budgets

    • Assisting with cost reports for producers and financing partners

    • Assisting with the legal aspects of international co-productions

    • Preparing applications for the funding of films (German and European film and cinema funds)

    • Assisting the in-house producers in preparing and following up on shootings and post-production

    • Copywriting texts in German (for instance for press books or for funding applications), and occasionally translating into German

    • Participating in, and occasionally helping with, the organisation of test screenings of films in post-production

    • Updating monitoring tools

    • Interacting with all the departments of the Coproduction Office and facilitating administrative processes, and in particular communicating with the finance team at the Paris office.

    • Participating in the bookkeeping for projects and being a point of contact for the accounting team

    • Participating in the budgeting and reporting tasks related to film production

    • Scheduling (and occasionally attending) meetings with international partners

    • Preparing and following up on meetings: logistics, recordings, transcripts, to do lists, coordinating and implementing follow ups.


You are:

  • comfortable with writing texts and have an excellent command of English and German (written and spoken). A knowledge of French or Italian is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused

  • Creative and able to think outside the box

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry (a plus) and an interest in financial topics

  • Passionate for cinema

  • Flexible and proactive

  • Proficient with Excel (budgets, cash-flows, etc.)

  • Eloquent and have good social skills, are capable of interacting with professionals in different sectors: the film industry, the public sector, artists etc.

  • Proficient in writing memorandums

  • Computer savvy and proficient in cloud-based applications and virtual workspaces

JOB OUTLINE:

You will:

  • perform the following tasks as a member of our sales team:
    • Assist our sales executives with the market preparation and during markets (scheduling meetings, researching distributors, preparing documents and presentations on our films, assisting on the logistics, etc.).

    • Follow up with international distributors after the markets (preparing information on films, screeners, and others).

    • Search for prospective partners (market studies); improve and update the clients and sales database and contacts list.

    • Assist the sales team in the negotiation for film sales, for example by reflecting on selling points and gathering information on a film.

    • Assist with the redaction of contracts and other administrative tasks (notarization process, registration of contracts, etc.)

    • Follow up with our international distributors to track the films’ releases (release dates, admission numbers, marketing elements).

    • Support the management of MEDIA Creative Europe funding, both internally and in collaboration with our European distributors (application and reporting).

    • Keep track of expiring contracts and get in touch with distributors to negotiate renewals.

    • Assist the sales team in the preparation of sales strategies (reflect on pitching and ideas for retrospectives and collections).

You are:

  • A native or fully fluent English-speaker with excellent command of French and/or German. Other languages are a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused

  • Creative and able to think outside the box

  • Experienced in the cultural industries (a plus)

JOB OUTLINE:

You will assist our producers and our CFO over the entire creation process of a film (from the earliest development stage, to financing, production, post-production, festival premiere and the distribution via our sales branch) on our current projects and productions by Ruben Östlund, Ulrich Seidl, Jessica Hausner, and Susanne Heinrich.

You will:

  • perform the following tasks as a member of our production team:
    • Doing relevant research (e.g. prospective financing, casting, co-producers).

    • Collaborating in the creation of content and visual presentations for funding applications.

    • Coordinating funding applications and following up with funds, financers, projects, banks and clients as well as performing other financial and coordination tasks.

    • Assisting producers with research and coordination tasks during the different phases of the production process (script development, locations, casting, etc.).

    • Monitoring and keeping an overview of film cash-flow and budgets together with our CFO and our executive producers, and preparing cost reports.

    • Participating in test screenings of our upcoming films, and contributing to the initial marketing plans


You are:

  • A native or fully fluent French and German-speaker with an excellent command of both languages

  • Capable of interacting with professionals across different sectors: film industry, public sector, finance and accounting

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry

  • Precise, accountable and motivated, with attention to detail and meeting deadlines

Coproduction Office is an international label that produces and sells bold and award-winning films. Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine, also importing Italian “vin d’auteur” to Germany. Further operations include on-site cinemas, gastronomy, production and distribution of visual art, and restorations of milestones in film history.

Film producer Philippe Bober is the founder of the companies and has produced over forty films to date with the majority of these having been selected to screen in Competition in Cannes, Venice or Berlin. They received major prizes, most notably the Venice Golden Lion for Roy Andersson’s A PIGEON SAT ON A BRANCH REFLECTING ON EXISTENCE in 2014 and two Palme d’Ors for Ruben Östlund’s THE SQUARE in 2017 and TRIANGLE OF SADNESS in 2022. Philippe also produces video installations (WOMEN WITHOUT MEN by Shirin Neshat, ALBERI by Michelangelo Frammartino) and works with visual artists Zapruder and Michelangelo Frammartino.

Coproduction Office is connecting its know-how in these fields in cultural spaces combining a two-screen arthouse cinema, an art gallery, ambitious restaurants and a wine bar, located in Berlin’s city center in iconic listed buildings.

We are looking for a globally minded and result-oriented colleague, with organisational skills and an avid interest in culture, to complete our team of thirty people working in a dynamic and international environment. Starting as an intern, with the potential of a full-time position, you will assist our team and our founder Philippe Bober.

The working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is required, further languages are beneficial, in particular French and Italian.


You Are:
Cosmopolitan, proactive, problem-solving, lateral thinking, culture, film- and/or wine-loving, and have a positive working attitude and an eye for details. Organisational and analytical skills are appreciated, as well as precision regarding timelines, grammar, numbers, and spreadsheets. Your background can be either in wine, food, architecture, civil engineering, cinema, the film industry, art, real estate development, business administration, computer sciences, finance or marketing.

You may undertake and be responsible for one or several of the following duties:

  • Communicating directly with external project coordinators, architects, construction managers, specialist planners and others

  • Contributing to developing the concept of the art space

  • Coordinating financing applications, following-up with funds, financiers, projects and clients.

  • Coordinating tasks and deadlines, meetings with consultants and stakeholders

  • Researching new suppliers and communicating with existing ones

  • Analyzing processes and making suggestions on how to optimise them

  • Assisting with the organization of events and pop exhibitions

  • Compiling documents, in particular spreadsheets and presentations



The internship is full time, remunerated with 1000 - 1200€ brutto / month (est. netto 950 € / month) and can lead to further employment.
